The Indianapolis Colts have named second-year QB Anthony Richardson the starter for the rest of the season, head coach Shane Steichen told reporters on Wednesday.

The Colts have decided to bench Joe Flacco after he started the last two games. Flacco took over the starting job in Week 9. The Colts went 0-2 under Flacco.

In the last two losses, Flacco threw for 451 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Richardson led the team to a 3-3 record, completing 44.4% of his passes for 958 yards, four TDs and seven INTs before being benched for Flacco.
