On Wednesday morning, the meteor will light up western Montana

MISSOULA – Did you see that?

Scores of people across western Montana saw a bright light streak across the sky Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service office in Missoula reports that a sensor detected what appears to be a meteor around 6:30 a.m.

The meteor was first spotted over southwestern Alberta.

The American Meteor Society indicates that reports have come in from Montana, Washington, Oregon and western Canada.
