The Line of Duty star’s 2019 crime drama set in London is now on Netflix

Strong and Mays lead the cast as surgeon Daniel Milton and transportation worker Lee Simmons, respectively, who team up to establish the medical network. Other members of Temple cast includes Craig Parkinson (Line of Duty), Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones), Wunmi Mosaku and Catherine McCormack.

Temple returned for season two in 2021. At the time of its second run, Mark Strong reflected on something that stood out to him in the process of working on the show:

“The thing that I’ve found that I’ve enjoyed the most is the relationship that I’ve had with Danny Mays’ character, Lee,” he shared. Collider in an interview.

“I didn’t quite understand how much of a double act they could be, but there’s something really fun about watching this odd couple work together. That’s been the epiphany for me. I discovered that in the first season, and it was something that we wanted to actively promote in the second season, I’ve really enjoyed doing that and playing alongside Danny Mays, his character, Lee, is a great foil for Daniel.

As for whether a third season of Temple will come, Strong told the publication back in 2021 that he seemed to think it might be possible — though there hasn’t been any recent news on the subject.

“We’ve written a few episodes and have a treatment ready for the third season, should we be lucky enough to make it, so we were very conscious that we wanted a big cliffhanger, which we do,” Strong said. about the way the second season ends. “What we chose to do leaves the possibility of where we go next completely open.”
