Here’s how to get Krispy Kreme’s free dozen donuts on World Kindness Day

Krispy Kreme makes it easy to be kind – and sweet too.

The donut chain will give away a dozen glazed donuts to the first 500 customers at participating locations on Wednesday for World Kindness Day, Krispy Kreme announced.

“World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact on people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer. “We hope that every dozen Original Glazed Donuts we give away enables and inspires many dozens of small acts of kindness.”

No purchase is necessary to score the free dozen donuts, according to the press release. The offer is good in-store and drive-thru at participating Krispy Kremes.

What is World Kindness Day?

World Kindness Day was launched in 1998 by World Kindness Movementan NGO whose mission is to inspire people and “connect nations to create a kinder world.” World Kindness Day, celebrated annually on Nov. 13, is an opportunity for people to promote kindness to themselves, each other and the world, the nonprofit said The kindness campaign.

4 new donuts at Krispy Kreme for Thanksgiving

The free glazed donuts come amid Krispy Kreme’s new Thanksgiving pie-inspired donuts that launched Nov. 7 and will be available all holiday long.

The four new doughnuts, according to Krispy Kremeis:

  • Chocolate Silk Pie Doughnut: A glazed donut dipped in chocolate glaze and topped with chocolate buttercream and chocolate curls.
  • Lemon Cream Pie Doughnut: Snow unglazed donut filled with lemon pie filling, dipped in yellow glaze and graham crunch and topped with meringue buttercream.
  • Blueberry Crisp Donut: An unglazed donut with blueberry filling dipped in blueberry glaze with streusel topping.
  • Apple Crumble Doughnut: An unglazed donut with apple pie filling, topped with pie base buttercream and cinnamon cake crumb topping.

These donuts are available in stores and for pickup and delivery. Select retailers will also have a 6-pack of the Thanksgiving Pie Donut Collection.

Krispy Kreme has 40 locations in California, including in Bakersfield, Chico, Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Rancho Mirage, San Diego, Stockton and Victorville, according to donut chain.
