My Chemical Romance Announce ‘The Black Parade’ 2025 Tour Dates

Come on, everyone, to this not-so-tragic affair: The Black Parade has returned. My Chemical Romance will celebrate their landmark rock opera album with a 10-date festival tour next summer across the US. The band, led by Gerard Way and accompanied by Ray Toro, Frank Iero and Mikey Way, will hit stadiums from Los Angeles to their native New Jersey. Each date will feature a different opening act, including rock newcomers IDLES and emo staples Death Cab for Cutie and Thursday.

The tour news comes a day after the band teased the announcement with a cryptic Instagram postswith the caption “If you could be anything, what would you be?” Fans speculated that the post could be a nod to MCR’s scrapped album The paper kingdom.

Last month, MCR revived the iconic album at the When We Were Young music festival in Las Vegas in October, where they performed The Black Parade in its entirety. Since its release in 2006, the concept album has been heralded in the emo music scene and beyond. Rolling Stone named it one of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
