Zendaya Joins Christopher Nolan’s Next Film; Anne Hathaway also on board

EXCLUSIVE: Christopher Nolan isn’t done adding some serious star power to his next film at Universal. Sources tell Deadline that Anne Hathaway and Zendaya will star in his next event film. They would join previously announced cast members Matt Damon and Tom Holland.

The film will get an Imax release on July 17, 2026. The date falls in line with a number of Nolan films that have had similar release dates in the past.

Universal had no comment on the latest castings.

The film is expected to start shooting in early 2025, but sources note that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are incorrect and details are being kept under wraps.

Top-tier talent always jumps at the chance to be in a Nolan film. This would mark Zendaya’s first pic for the filmmaker and the third for Hathaway, appearing in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises and the 2014s Interstellar.
