Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur is enjoyed all year round, but is especially popular during these winter nights.

On Bailey’s Facebook page, happy customers left glowing reviews: “Absolutely the best, can’t beat it.

Another suggested: “Baileys with ice cream?”

A third raised a concern: “Yeah, open the bottle and it’s gone.”

The deal is available to those with a Nectar Card, slashing the usual price of £21.95 by more than half.

Nectar customers can add the card to their Sainsbury’s Groceries account when checking out to access all sorts of discounts.

For those shopping in person, just scan the Nectar card or the app on your phone to make a great purchase.

Baileys is famous for its smooth, luxurious texture and distinctive taste.

With hints of chocolate and vanilla among the combination of Irish whiskey and Irish cream, it is quite irresistible.

For those who don’t have a Nectar Card, Sainsbury’s has offered an alternative.

The retailer has offered a dupe of the beloved at £13 for 70cl called Sainsbury’s Irish Cream Liqueur.

This has received generally good reviews, but many shoppers have stuck with the original.

For loyal customers at Baileys, other supermarkets are slashing the price as we approach December.

In Morrisons you can grab a bottle for £13, but you’ll need a More Card to get this reduced price.

More cards can be downloaded on the My Morrisons app where hundreds more offers are available.

You can also check out these offers through the My Morrisons website if you fancy scrolling on a bigger screen.

If you have a physical More Card, you can print out paper coupons to shop in the store.

Other retailer discounts include Tesco, which is slashing the price from £22 to £13 for members.

Tesco Clubcard members can sign up online or via the app.

One of the best ways to make sure you get the best deal is to check the supermarkets’ websites beforehand.

Most stores will have their original prices as well as discounts available.

Another shopper hack is to use comparison sites like Google Shopping or Trolley.co.uk so you know you’re not missing out.

Be sure to keep an eye on how big the bottles are as they vary in size.

How to save money at your supermarket shop

THERE are many ways to save at your grocery store.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products that show when they have been reduced.

If the food is fresh, eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money as you will be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going private label can also be an easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “custom” or value lines.

Lots of supermarkets run quirky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they are wrong or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers, which you can also spend at the supermarket.

In addition, many municipalities offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

How else can I save money on Baileys?

To stretch your money a little further, you can always go for a Baileys dupe, which has been described as “almost perfect.”

If you’re prepared to downsize, you can buy 70cl Ballycastle Cream Liqueur for £5.79 – just 82p a pop. 100 ml.

Customers have described the product as “lush” and “delicious” on Facebook.

The Ballycastle product even comes in multiple flavours, such as the latest addition which is a delicious Milk Chocolate Clementine version at £7.49.

If you’re keen to try something new, this could save you a whopping £16.21 on one bottle of Baileys.

In fact, for the price of a bottle of Baileys from Morrisons or Asda (£22.00), you could almost buy four bottles of Ballycastle.

However, remember that the ABV (alcohol by volume) of Bailey’s is 16%, Ballycastle spirit is 12%.

Other supermarkets offering their own Baileys dupes include Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrison’s, Asda, Lidl and M&S.

While the cheapest is Ballycastle, Lidl’s Irish Cream Liqueur is the second most affordable at £1.14 a pint. 100 ml.

In Tesco, 70cl of the liqueur costs £8.50, at £1.21 per 100ml, and at Sainsbury’s it is £9 to £1.28 per 100ml.
