Jaylen Brown, Luke Kornet, more

The Boston Celtics dropped their second game of the season on Wednesday, falling to the Golden State Warriors in brutal fashion in the end. They climbed right back after a rough first half, but a string of Golden State offensive rebounds closed the door on a Celtics comeback. Now they welcome the Brooklyn Nets to TD Garden on Friday.

Brooklyn has been one of the surprises of the NBA season so far. They haven’t been incredible, but considering most thought they’d be one of the worst teams in the league, they’ve been solid. The Nets have opened the season 4-4 and are heading into the TD Garden hoping to upset the Celtics.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Nets on Friday, November 8.

Kristaps Porzingis remains out. He had offseason surgery to repair a rare foot injury he suffered in the NBA Finals. The big man is expected to return sometime in or around December.

On the other hand, Jaylen Brown is a recent addition to the damage report. Friday night against the Nets will mark the fourth straight game he has missed with a hip problem.

Brown is dealing with a left hip flexor strain and he reportedly got an MRI on it (another one when he reportedly got one this summer). Joe Mazzulla said neither he nor Brown are too concerned about the illness.

Around the start of the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Warriors, the Celtics ruled Luke Kornet out due to tightness in right hamstring. Now he is listed as questionable before Friday vs. Nets.

Noah Clowney is dealing with a sick note, so he is questionable heading into Friday night’s game.

Meanwhile Bojan Bogdanovic, Day’Ron Sharpeand Trendon Watford will not play against the Celtics. Bogdanovic have a foot problem and has yet to play in a game this year. Neither Sharpe nor Watford have played in a game yet this season.
