The no. 9 ranked University of North Carolina Tar Heels will play the no. 1 Kansas Jayhawks this Friday night in an NCAAB Week 1 showdown. The early-season game is the first matchup between the Jayhawks and Tar Heels since the 2022 national championship, when Kansas defeated UNC 72-69. Both teams are off to strong starts this season: Kansas defeated Howard University 87-57 in their season opener earlier this week, while UNC beat Elon 90-76.
