“I want to get back on the road and do my comedy tour,” she said.

‘I would like to write, produce and direct more. I want to go back to university and do a PhD.

‘I want to study how laughter affects your mental health. Otherwise I would study something to do with women’s health.’

The confession came a day after Judi threw daggers at Coleen Nolan when she was called out for ‘rude’ behavior during Wednesday’s Loose Women.

The panel, which also included Brenda Edwards and Charlene White, discussed Greggs’ recent announcement that it will refuse service to customers who keep their earphones in while queuing.

As they debated whether or not it was acceptable, Brenda started the conversation by saying, ‘When you go to a till, it’s rude if you have to have a conversation when someone is talking to you.

‘I think so. I don’t take my headphones off while I’m in line because I don’t want to hear what you’re saying in front or behind me until I get to the front of the line.’

She reasoned: ‘I don’t think it’s right to do that, but I’ve been to some of these establishments myself and there’s a lack of manners when you’re talking to someone who’s trying to serve you.

‘I say please, they don’t say please or thank you back, I hand you the change, you hand it to me on the counter. I just think it works both ways’.

Charlene then asked Judi for her opinion when she said: ‘I’ve got to talk to Judi about this one because if there’s a woman who likes to be on the phone, sometimes it’s in the middle of a conversation… ‘

“I love the phone, it’s attached to my face,” Judi admitted, “what I say is sometimes it depends on what the conversation is or who I’m talking to.”

She explained: ‘Most of the time I’ll be like “Just a second baby, pop into the shop” and I can quickly do what I’m doing and acknowledge it and then I’ll go back to the conversation.

‘It would be rare that I would put the phone down depending on which establishment I go to.’

As she laid out her reasons for not hanging up, Coleen interjected: ‘I think it’s rude. It’s rude, it’s bad manners and it’s rude’.

The live audience seemed to agree as they erupted into cheers and applause, with Judi joking that the positive reaction was for her.

Elaborating, Coleen said: ‘I think it’s rude when you’re sitting and having a conversation with someone and the phone rings and they go and pick up the phone. You’re talking to me, don’t pick up the phone.’
