Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul: UK date, rules and times including Taylor vs Serrano undercard

Tyson and Paul’s records are worlds and years apart.

Tyson made his professional debut in 1985, 12 years before Paul was born.

During a 20-year career, Tyson won 50 fights and lost only six with 44 knockouts.

He is the youngest heavyweight champion ever to achieve the feat at the age of 20. A two-time heavyweight champion, he reigned as the undisputed champion between 1987 and 1990, beating the likes of Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes.

Tyson retired in 2005 after back-to-back stoppage losses, but has had a few exhibition bouts – including against Roy Jones Jr in 2020 – since then.

However, Paul is the favorite to enter the competition for several reasons.

At 27, he still has youth on his side, even if there is a large experience gap. Paul has built a great career in the ring as one of the world’s most famous YouTubers.

He jumped on the YouTuber boxing trend in 2018 before having his first pro fight in 2020. Paul has fought a wide variety of recognizable names, but many of them are MMA fighters trying boxing for the first time.

Wins over former UFC fighters Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva have been big plays. His only loss was to boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury in 2023.

Paul’s most recent win was over former UFC fighter and bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry in July.

Paul has never fought more than eight rounds, with seven stoppages on the record.

In comparison, Paul has boxed 52 rounds, while Tyson has fought 215 rounds.
