Why Brianna LaPaglia Claims Zach Bryan ‘Ruined’ Her Golden Globes Experience

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is opening up about how her 2024 Golden Globes experience was allegedly “ruined” by her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan.

On the latest episode of BFFs podcast — where LaPaglia makes allegations that she was emotionally abused by the country music star and asked to sign an NDA (something she claims to have denied) — the podcast host also alleged that he tried to influence what she wore and her social media presence.

Reps for LaPaglia and Bryan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

“It was f—– crazy. It was the first time he had really tried to control what I was wearing and what I was posting,” she recalled. “So I went to the Golden Globes and I posted as one carousel of imagesand he didn’t like my dress.”

“He said he didn’t want to date someone who presents himself like that. And he unfollowed me, he unfollowed everyone, and I… when I flew home — I flew home after the Golden Globes. He ruined my night.” LaPaglia continued.

The influencer continued: “Everything good, everything good that I did for me, he made sure to ruin it for me. He ruined my birthday, he ruined my tour, he ruined the Golden Globes. Everything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin it .”

She claims that on the night of the event, “everything was going so well” until she sent him pictures. “He’s like happy at first, then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘I can’t believe you’ve got this … blah blah blah blah.’ ”

“It ruins the night. I cry to Grace (O’Malley) all f—— night and he follows me up because of the dress. He tells me all the Instagram pictures I have that I have to delete and I’m like, ‘Okay, yeah, I guess.’ He makes me think I have to change my image to keep up with his or something,” LaPaglia continued, expressing that she felt she was “twisted in the head.”

After LaPaglia said she was portrayed as having “my nipples and my coochie out,” the “cherry on top” saw him repost a photo of her at the Golden Globes on his Instagram Stories.

“He reposted that picture of me on his story and said, ‘You’re so beautiful.'” As I freaked out behind the scenes and unfollowed us all, and unfollowed me, it was just such a tug of war with my feelings in my head,” she said.

LaPaglia and Bryan went public with their relationship in July 2023. They dated for over a year before he confirmed their split in October.
