Brianna accuses Zach Bryan of emotional abuse and asks her to sign the NDA

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has accused singer-songwriter Zach Bryan of emotional abuse, alleging he made former partners sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent them from speaking publicly about their experiences with him.

LaPaglia laid claim to BFFs Podcast she co-hosts with fellow Barstool hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards on Thursdays.

“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse of this guy,” LaPaglia said during the latest episode, referring to Bryan. “My brain is rewired and I’m scared of making him mad and last week,” she added. “I didn’t want to talk about it because I was scared.”

The news arrives amid a social media frenzy surrounding LaPaglia’s public breakup with Bryan. On Wednesday, Richards and Portnoy released a diss track titled “Smallest Man,” aimed at the country singer. The song included real audio from Bryan’s 2023 arrest in Oklahoma and referenced resurfaced tweets from Bryan’s critical pop star Taylor Swift.

“You made the women before me believe they had no choice but to take money from you,” LaPaglia further claimed. “(They) signed off on their experiences and what they went through (so) you get to jump off and sing your little shitty songs on stage like you’re a good guy.”

A representative for Bryan did not immediately respond Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

LaPaglia said her decision to speak out was “for anyone else who has been emotionally abused and for people who are currently being emotionally abused.” She also claimed he asked her for $12 million to sign an NDA. “It was never about the money,” she said. “I was with the guy because I loved the guy, anything glamorous, rich or fucking fat about him was the shit I hated about him.”

“It’s for anyone who doesn’t have a support system that I luckily had going through this,” the podcaster continued. “This is not like no drama to me, it’s not me not signing the NDA or not taking the money because I want to come here and expose who he is and all that shit. I’m not signing my experiences and what I went through to protect someone who hurt me and I’m much stronger than a weak man, fuck you and fuck your money.”

LaPaglia returns to the podcast after her statement last week, says BFFs would take a week break. “Hey guys! We tried to record this week but I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to handle this publicly because of all the backlash,” LaPaglia wrote at the time. “I’m going to put my mental health first in this week.”

Her statement was released after Bryan announced their breakup on his Instagram story last month. On YouTube, LaPaglia said she was caught off guard by the public announcement. “I had no idea the post was going up,” she said in a short video. “I’m completely blindsided by it.”
