Atlanta Braves News: Spencer Strider, Ronald Acuña Jr. updates, more

Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Tuesday that stars Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr. likely won’t be ready for opening day.

The right-handed Strider went down in April with an elbow sprain and had surgery to repair his UCL. Acuña hasn’t seen action since May, when he tore his ACL and quickly underwent surgery.

There is no official timetable for their return, however Anthopoulos reiterated that staff will continue to evaluate.
