Cabin alone is not officially underway at Disney and the viral poster is fake. Confusion surrounding the film began when a Facebook page shared a photo of Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O’Hara standing in front of a Christmas tree.

The Post claimed that the two are returning to a festive theme Alone at home sequel, which will stream on Disney+ in December 2024. The site also shared a description of the film, which says it will be about Kevin McCallister and his mother, who arrive at their family’s remote cabin.

But when they reach the place, they find that the rest of their family will reach the cabin late as their flight is delayed. The description further proclaimed that Marv and Harry, the antagonists of the original 1990 film, will target the cabin, leading to a showdown between them and the mother-son duo.

The post has over 50,000 reactions and many fans seemed to have believed it.
