Zach Bryan BLOCKED ex-girlfriend Brianna Chickenfry after shock split

Zach Bryan’s ex-girlfriend Brianna Chickenfry claims he blocked her on Instagram in the wake of their drama-plagued split.

The 25-year-old made the shocked claim while promoting her upcoming diss track ‘Smallest Man’ with her BFFs podcast co-hosts Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy.

The trio uploaded the song’s cover image to BFF’s Instagram on Tuesday, revealing that it would be released at midnight.

While many fans expressed excitement over the pitch, others slammed Brianna, Dave and Josh for not being ‘brave enough’ to tag Zach in the promo post.

“we’re all blocked,” Brianna shot back in the comments.

This comes just two weeks after Zach, 28, shocked fans – and Brianna herself – by announcing their split on his Instagram story.

“Addressing something: Brianna and I have broken up (sic) and I respect and love her with all my heart,” the country crooner began.

‘She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and I will always thank her for that.

‘I’ve personally had an incredibly tough year and struggled through some pretty difficult things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go out in different ways. I’m not perfect and never will be.

‘Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this, and if you have it in your heart, mine too.’

‘With all that I am and for anyone I fail, I am sorry. I do my best in everything. I failed people who love me and mostly myself,’ Zach concluded.

Hours later, Brianna uploaded a tearful video to her YouTube account in which she admitted to being ‘completely blindsided’ by the break-up as she wallowed on her bathroom floor.

She also claimed that Zach – who she had been dating since July 2023 – made the public announcement without telling her beforehand.

‘I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up and I had no idea that post was going up. He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me,’ she told the camera.

She revealed she woke up to a flood of texts asking if she was okay before she found out Zach had confirmed their split to the world.

‘I just woke up to a bunch of texts saying are you ok? And I think, did my royal father die? Yeah, so I’m completely blindsided by it. I also really want to… I’ve cried for five days straight.

‘Sorry if this video is going to be a lot of jumping around, but I’m at the point where it’s like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally like through things that you shouldn’t?.. .like you see the good in them.

“This is so embarrassing,” she said. ‘I don’t give a f**k. How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded in a few days? It’s really, really heartbreaking.

‘I don’t want to talk about details right now, I don’t want to talk about it yet. Of course I want to. But right now I wanted to heal in private and I didn’t even know he would write it. We broke up yesterday. I wasn’t ready to do anything public.

‘Now I just get a bajillion scary texts and sh**t. I just wanted to deal with this like a human being first and now it’s not. I’m just asking if you guys could please… respect my privacy right now and when I’m ready to talk about everything that happened, I will. But right now I’m just completely blind. And thanks for all the sweet messages. I’ll be fine, I’ll be fine.

‘I just want to be hurt for a week and want to lie in bed. I just didn’t want it to be public. I just feel blind. I love you guys very much,” she said.

In the wake of the leak, the drama began to spill over into social media.

Brianna’s friend Portnoy posted a link to a telling song – Taylor Swift’s The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.

Additionally, an X user also shared alleged private DMs between Zach and a mystery woman.

It is unclear when the messages originated or who he spoke to, and the posts were subsequently deleted from X.

The break-up announcement came a day after fans speculated the duo had gone their separate ways after a Reddit user claimed to have seen Zach on celebrity dating app Raya with photos of his alleged profile, alongside a photo of a handwritten poem shared by Brianna to her Instagram.

The poem read: ‘And in the end you will find that life goes on even if you don’t want it to. The days will go by and the world will move while you tell it to stop.

‘You will think life is cruel to go on with your feet stuck.

‘You will find people and moments to blame for your concrete feet.

“Then a morning comes when you wake up and realize things go on, life isn’t cruel, your feet are.

‘The world keeps spinning hoping to show you that you can too.’ It contained a drawing of a single stick figure at the bottom.

A source told DailyMail.com that Zach’s impulsive split from Brianna stemmed from his ongoing mental health struggles and grief over his mother’s death, which caused him to spiral into self-sabotage.

Zach has struggled to cope with the ’emotional roller coaster’ he’s been on since his mother Annette died in 2016, according to insiders who claim the singer is struggling to maintain relationships as he still tries to ‘find himself’ out.

“Zach’s life has been an emotional rollercoaster ever since his mom died,” an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘Zach is dealing with mental health issues.

‘His mother was his rock and he was able to learn from her and her struggles and now he doesn’t have that outlet. Brianna was someone who took on Zach and put up with all his struggles.’

The source said he ‘can’t handle relationships very well because he’s still trying to figure himself out’ and added that he ‘doesn’t want to be a burden’.

They continued: ‘Plus when things are big, he seems to sabotage himself by removing himself from a good thing and that seems to be what he’s doing with Brianna.’

Zach really wants to be in a relationship, but just can’t handle it on top of everything else.

“He can’t handle that much anxiety in life,” the insider continued. ‘He finds it hard enough to navigate his life, his career and his mental health, so it’s hard to throw a relationship into the mix, no matter how good, even if it’s exactly what he wants.

‘Zach is definitely chasing people who will be there for him at all costs. When he feels it’s not there, he drops them cold turkey.

‘Brianna just happens to be the latest person to deal with it. When she says she was blind, she’s telling the truth.’
