Andrew Whitworth surprises as Joe Burrow for Halloween

Joe Burrow was a hit this Halloween, despite the star quarterback not being a fan of dressing up for the spooky holiday himself.

Actor Macaulay Culkin, known for his role as Kevin in the “Home Alone” franchise and Burrow’s “alleged doppelgänger,” was the first to dress up as the Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback, playing along with the running joke that the two look alike.

After Culkin sent social media into a frenzy with his costume, former Bengals offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth also decided to dress up as the quarterback for Thursday Night Football’s Halloween broadcast.

During the “TNF Nightcap,” Whitworth, Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tony Gonzalez and Richard Sherman all dressed up as notable NFL players and got laughs from every cast member.

“I’m Joe Burrow, honey,” Whitworth told the crew proudly. The retired four-time Pro Bowler sported Burrow’s Week 2 gameday look: a see-through knit black tank top, sunglasses and bleach blonde hair.

The only thing that separated the two was Whitworth’s beard.

“I had to rehearse one of my favorite players @JoeyB pregame arrival fit! He may not play dress up but I do! Who Dey! ,” Whitworth wrote on social media Friday.

While stars and former NFL players have dressed up as Burrow, the QB said Wednesday that he’s adamant about not dressing up for the holiday as he’s “not into celebrating anything, just to celebrate,” adding, that he is “not a big dressed-up guy” .”

Most of the TNF team dressed as NFL players with Cincy ties

All of the crew members dressed up as different NFL players, and Whitworth wasn’t the only one who dressed up as a Cincinnati legend.

Sherman, the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback, appeared as a New York Jets and earlier Bearcats cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner. Charissa Thompson was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also a UC alum.

Here’s who the rest of the crew dressed up as.

  • Charissa Thompson: Chiefs and former Bearcats tight end Travis Kelce.
  • Tony Gonzalez: Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick: Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones.
  • Richard Sherman: Jets cornerback and UC alum Sauce Gardner.

After the game, Jets running back Breece Hall declared Sherman the winner of the TNF costume contest, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave it to Whitworth.
