Alix Earle Shares BTS 2024 Halloween Costume Photos (Exclusive)

“When I decided on the Cheshire Cat for my costume this year, I knew I wanted to paint the entire body, custom wig and prosthetics for this iconic character. At first, when I put on the cat prosthetics, I tried to act cool, calm and manageable, but I’m actually really claustrophobic, so I was definitely stressed. Honestly, I had to start drinking when we did this to calm my nerves.”

“I didn’t try on this costume, so I didn’t really know what the final look would be like. Prosthetics are a very ‘trust the process’ kind of glam, but I’m so happy with the decision to use them in the long run. It really pulled the whole look together and helped me tap into my inner Cheshire – even though I scared myself every time I looked in the mirror.”

“As you can imagine, it took longer to get ready than we had planned. I started glam at 13 and was only finished at 8.30 p.m. We had to turn the heat up to 80 degrees in the apartment because it was so cold to be spray painted – definitely something I hadn’t thought about until it was already happening. I was naked ass being painted for 6 hours and the apartment air was hazy from all the paint fumes. My friends came in from getting their hair blown out, like normal people, and saw me standing naked in the living room while I was being painted. But at this point, they shouldn’t expect anything less.”

“When I got back from the party, I ran into the shower to rip the prosthesis off my face. Had to be one of the most satisfying feelings ever. The Cheshire Cat aftermath is that my apartment is now covered in pink and purple body paint from running around when I got back… I still have streaks all over me even after using a whole jug of oil to try and get it off. Wish me luck as I try to get it all off before my next costume!”
