When will the Golden Globes 2025 ceremony begin?

The first major awards show of 2025 airs Sunday when stars of film and television are honored at the 82nd annual Golden Globes.

Emilia Perez leads all nominees in the film category with 10 nominations, while The Brutalist vying for seven Golden Globes and Conclave is nominated for six. The bear leads the television category with five nominations, while Only murder in the building and Shogun is nominated for four Golden Globes apiece.

Comedian Nikki Glaser – who attended The roast of Tom Brady on Netflix in May — is hosting the 82nd annual Golden Globes. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on CBS this year after decades of broadcast on NBC.

The 82nd annual Golden Globes will begin airing live Sunday at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on CBS and will stream on Paramount+ with Showtime in the US and will be available to Paramount+ Essential subscribers on Monday.

Additionally, Golden Globes organizers noted, the entertainment tonight and Black collaborating on a live stream of a digital pre-show on Sunday. The pre-show – hosted by ETs Rachel Smith and Variations Marc Malkin—starts streaming at 3:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET across Black and Penske Media platforms.

Glaser — an offensive lineman who participated in the dazzling roast of Brady in May — recounted Yahoo! Entertainment on Thursday that celebrities attending the Hollywood bash needn’t fear being the target of mean jokes.

“I don’t want to go out so hard that someone will be offended,” Glaser shared Yahoo! Entertainment. “I’ve made a point not to, and it’s not to disappoint anyone hoping I’ll pull a Ricky Gervais. I’m not Ricky Gervais. This isn’t my last Golden Globes, it’s my first. He really went hard on his last one. He was ready to burn some bridges (because) it didn’t matter anymore.”
