What’s scarier than one giant murder doll in Play octopus? Doubling the nightmares with thaw giant murder dolls, of course!

Season 2 of Netflix’s hit Korean drama ramped up in its finale with a bloody cliffhanger ending followed by a mysterious, ominous cutscene featuring everyone’s favorite motion-detecting robot doll. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk reveals that the credits scene is actually a tease of what will come to haunt us all in season 3.

“It’s actually a sneak peek of Cheol-su, who, like Young-hee, is a new giant doll that we’ll be introducing in Season 3,” the creator/writer/director tells us. Weekly entertainment. “And it’s also a hint about the most exciting game in Season 3. So even though it hasn’t been shared yet, I hope everyone will be excited to meet Cheol-su and the new game.”

The seven-episode second season ended on a truly devastating note for Gi-hun, aka Player 456 (Lee Jung-jae), after he tried to organize a rebellion against the frontman (Lee Byung-hun) and the guards to set a end of the game. But Gi-hun had no idea that the front man was actually disguised as Player 001, secretly sabotaging the violent and bloody war and killing many of the players – including Gi-hun’s BFF Jung-bae, aka Player 390 (Lee Seo-hwan) ), who was shot right in front of him in the closing moments.

The credits scene ends with a red light turning off and a green light turning on.

Hwang first teased the introduction of Cheol-su in June 2022 when he announced it Squid Game was renewed for the second season. “Join us once again for a brand new round,” he wrote in a message that was shared on the official Netflix account. “You will also be introduced to Young-hee’s girlfriend, Cheol-su.”
