Another Alabama receiver enters the transfer portal

Alabama football freshman receiver Amari Jefferson has entered his name on the transfer portal, AL.com has learned.

Jefferson did not play in 2024.

He is a 6-foot, 197-pound receiver from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He earned scout team player of the week for his efforts this week in the South Carolina game.

Jefferson is the latest Alabama receiver to enter the transfer portal. He joins Jaren Hamilton, Caleb Odom, Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice and Emmanuel Henderson Jr. as scholarship recipients who have put their names in the transfer portal.

Alabama players have an additional five-day window after the ReliaQuest Bowl to enter the transfer portal.

Both of Alabama’s top two receivers could return in 2025. Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard, who contributed most of the production to receivers in 2024, both have eligibility remaining. However, Bernard did not reveal his intentions for 2025 while preparing for the ReliaQuest Bowl.

The Crimson Tide has also already added receiving talent. Isaiah Horton of Miami has signed with Alabama. He tallied 56 catches for 616 yards and five touchdowns.
