NFL Pro Bowl 2025 rosters announced: 9 Ravens to represent AFC, no Patrick Mahomes or Baker Mayfield

The NFL announced the rosters for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games on Thursday morning. Players from 28 of 32 teams were selected, with the Baltimore Ravens leading the way with nine picks, followed by the Detroit Lions (7), Minnesota Vikings (6), Philadelphia Eagles (6), Dallas Cowboys (5) and Kansas City Chiefs (5).

Four teams not represented are the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. These teams may end up with players participating as substitutes.

The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will take place again in Orlando on February 2 and will feature players competing in a skills competition as well as a flag football game, which will be coached by Peyton and Eli Manning.

Among the notable players missing is Lions safety Kerby Joseph, the leader of NFL interceptions. While he finished first in fan voting among free safeties, he was not one of the three who will be part of the Pro Bowl. Joseph’s teammate, Brian Branch, who was second in the fan poll at strong safety, made the team.

Joseph posted a GIF of X on Wednesday showing how confused he was by the decision.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not make the AFC roster, the first time since he has been a starter in the NFL and has not been selected to the Pro Bowl. On the other hand, Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not go to Orlando.

One rookie to miss out on will be Brian Thomas Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The wide receiver is fifth in the NFL in receiving yards (1,179) and tied for fifth with 10 touchdowns this season.

While Thomas went limp, 24 other rookies were named to AFC rosters, including Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Jared Verse. Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders made the NFC team, making him just the fourth rookie quarterback since 1970 to make the Pro Bowl roster.

Here are the full rosters for the AFC and NFC:
