This morning The star Dr. Ranj Singh has revealed that he was admitted to hospital after suffering a head injury following an accident over Christmas.

The 45-year-old general practitioner and TV personality is known by many to offer medical advice such as This morning‘s resident doctor from 2016 to 2021, as well as appearing in the 16th season of Strictly Come Dancing.

On December 28, Singh shared a selfie of himself with a bandage across his forehead along with the caption, “Not quite how I had planned to spend my Saturday night.” The selfie appeared to have been taken in the hospital waiting room.

After being inundated with messages of support and concern, he took steps to clarify the cryptic post.

“Sorry, (I) should have explained…” he wrote. “I slipped and face-planted the pavement… got myself five lovely stitches.

“Everything fixed though! And thanks for the messages of concern.”

The doctor had shared a message of hope and optimism just days before the incident when he posted a photo of himself pouting in a red Santa hat with the caption: “If, however or wherever you may use it… big Christmas kisses to y’all! Let’s use it as a chance to spread a little more kindness and joy.”

Earlier this year, Dr. Singh to have lost his medical license after rumors started circulating on social media. After departure This morninghe claimed to have been “ruled out” by ITV after raising concerns about the broadcaster’s working culture.

“Please ignore the people on social media claiming I have ‘lost my medical license,'” his statement began, before noting that the rumor was “completely untrue.”

Dr. Singh explained: “I intentionally put my License To Practice on hold earlier this year because I’m taking some time away from clinical work to pursue other projects (as you may have seen!).”

He continued his statement: “It only takes a few months for the process to complete.

“It is perfectly normal for doctors to do this and there is no other reason involved.”

Concluding his message, Dr Singh wrote: “And I am still very much a GMC registered doctor.”

He has opened up about his career change towards performing in the musical &Juliet as Lance, and acknowledged that it is far different from the skills people know him best for.

“I know it’s a bit of a change from my usual work, but not many people will know how hard I’ve been working behind the scenes to make this happen,” shared Dr. Rank. Pink news Monday (May 20).
