‘College GameDay’ predictions for Arizona State-Texas CFP game

game

Arizona State football has had quite the turnaround from one season to the next.

The No. 4 Sundevils (11-2) has improved from a three-win team to the Big 12 champions in just one season, the second under Kenny Dillingham. ASU isn’t ready to rest on its laurels, however, as a matchup against No. 5 Texas (12-2) gives them an opportunity to advance to College Football Playoff Semifinals.

The Sun Devils and Longhorn leave at 11 a.m. MT on New Year’s Day from the Peach Bowl in Atlanta in the CFP quarterfinals. The matchup winner will face the winner of the No. 1 Oregon and no. 8 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday, January 10.

If Arizona State hopes to win, running back Cam Skattebo will play a big role. Skattebo enters the quarterfinals with 263 catches for 1,568 yards and 19 touchdowns.

With that, here’s who the “College GameDay” team picked to win between the Sun Devils and Longhorns:
