New Year’s Day is here as millions of Americans celebrate the arrival of the new year with their loved ones.

If you want to start the new year with a little shopping or dining at your favorite restaurant, most grocery, retail and restaurant chains will be open on New Year’s Day, albeit with adjusted opening hours. Most were also open on New Year’s Eve.

However, the same will not be the case for Costco New Year’s Day. Costco stores will be closed on January 1, according to the company’s website.

On New Year’s Eve, the company’s warehouses were open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
