A Thanksgiving Miracle! Tyrese Haliburton is back to being awesome

I feel like it’s been doom and gloom for Indiana sports lately, so to lift everyone’s spirits, I’d like to go around the table and let everyone share what they’re thankful for. Me, I’m thankful that Tyrese Haliburton is good again. After an inexplicable slump, Tyrese is back to pushing the pace, dishing out no-look passes, lobbing ups, all while being efficient from the 3-point line.

The highlights of the last few games aren’t as flashy as something like superstar Anthony Edwards flying and posting up someone, but the highlights show him looking like his old self. And at the end of the day, Tyrese can score just as well as someone like Ant and step out of sprinter cars with a bunch of white chicks just as well as Ant. That’s what superstars do.

When I saw the masked Tyrese picks being posted on social media, I thought for sure he was going to unlock his final form. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a superhero performance out of masked Tyrese because it made him play like crap. More proof that little things can affect your thinking and ruin everything. Luckily, Haliburton ditched the mask because there is ZERO chance of the Pacers winning their 3rd streak with masked Hali.

The Pacers haven’t exactly struggled against top competition in the league, but these bottom-feeder teams would have given Indy Ls if slumping Haliburton stepped onto the field. The problems haven’t been entirely on Haliburton, but if he was able to step up, a few bad losses will become wins. The real test to see if the old Haliburton is back will be how it performs on the road. His home vs away games have been insane.

When the Pacers played in Milwaukee right before this 3 game home streak, Tyrese played a solid game. Nothing to write home about, but he didn’t look like a shell of the player he once was. Hopefully that means the old Haliburton is officially back, and not just because Indiana is playing dog water teams at home. But the eye test says Haliburton is having fun and playing like his old self, and for that I’m thankful.
