Katie Holmes, 45, surprises fans with youthful look on Jimmy Fallon as they say ‘she doesn’t age’

KATIE Holmes left fans in awe with her timeless appearance on last night’s Jimmy Fallon.

The actress, 45, was on the show to promote her Broadway run of Our Town, which she currently performs eight times a week.

“It’s like a dream job,” she said. “I love this piece. It’s been done so many times.

“Our director said ‘this is our city for our time’, and of course it’s a bit of an innovation, but the manuscript is still the same.”

Among the 28-strong cast are Jim Parsons, Michelle Wilson, Julie Halston and Zoey Deutch.

Fallon viewers were quick to comment on Katie’s flawless look, with one writing on social media: “She’s aging nicely wine.”

Another said: “She looks great! Aging can be beautiful!”

A third wrote: “Katie is aging so gracefully and that is so incredibly admirable. She is herself and that’s how she should be. So many of us fight aging when we should realize what an absolute privilege it really is .”

A fourth exclaimed: “She looks great!”

Perhaps the secret to her youthful appearance is her love of a good nap. Jimmy even surprised her by showing a photo of her snoozing on a sofa next to her stage co-stars.

And Katie admitted that the first thing she thinks about when she arrives somewhere new is where she’ll be able to get her head down.

Family female Katie was supported in the studio by her parents, who Jimmy also praised for kindly putting together a ‘care package’ for him filled with fun goodies.

Jimmy said: “It’s the best I’ve ever had, I loved it so much.”

Batman and Dawson’s Creek star Katie recently opened up about her own role as a mother and gave a rare insight into her relationship with daughter Suri, who she shares with Tom Cruise.

The 18-year-old graduated from her New York City high school in June and Katie, who has tried to keep her daughter out of the limelight throughout her childhood, told Town & Country what lies ahead for her.

“I’m proud of my daughter,” she said. “Obviously I’ll miss the closeness, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.

“I remember being at this age, this beginning time. It’s exciting to learn about yourself and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think of it like that.”

Insiders say Mission Impossible hero Tom, 61, hasn’t seen Suri in over a decade.

The pair have not had the best relationship over the years and Katie was awarded custody of her after they split in 2012.

Many suspected that Tom’s relationship with the Church of Scientology might be the cause of his divorce from Katie.

Tom has denied cutting his daughter out of his life, and in 2013 he sued the publisher of two magazines he believed suggested he had “abandoned” her.
