Suns’ Bradley Beal expected to play, Cam Thomas out for Nets

Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant are expected to play for the Suns against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday for Phoenix’s second game of a home back-to-back.

The injury report initially listed Beal as questionable and Durant as probable.

Both players were listed with left calf injuries that they each returned from Tuesday’s win against the Los Angeles Lakers. The official injury report had “return from injury management” designations.

The pair scored 23 points apiece in their respective returns to help Phoenix beat Los Angeles, 127-120.

The runaway game allowed Durant to limit his playing time to 30 minutes, while Beal posted 27.

The Nets are dealing with a long list of injury issues.

While former Suns forward Cam Johnson is set to play despite a right ankle injury, an ESPN report from Shams Charania on Wednesday said leading scorer Cam Thomas (24.7 points per game) is out 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Forward Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle) is a go, while centers Nic Claxton (managing lower back injury) and Day’Ron Sharpe (left hamstring strain) are out.

So are veteran shooting guard Bojan Bogdanovic (left foot injury rehab) and sophomore forward Noah Clowney (left ankle sprain).
