Wondering what a billion-dollar company’s name is an exclamation mark? Are you in doubt about what a party cracker can be? Don’t worry because I’m here to help you with today’s answers NEW Mini crossword.

The NEW Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and longer crossword puzzle. Most days there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its bigger sibling, the NEW Mini Crossword is free to play New York Times website or NEW Game app. However, you need one NEW Game subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

It took me 0:31 to complete today’s NEW Mini.

It would have been a little embarrassing for me if I didn’t get YAHOO right away, since I’ve been writing for a Yahoo publication since 2018. AWARD was also straightforward enough (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony).

I missed RANDO (which made sense in hindsight but never would have guessed) and DINER. I got all the Down tracks to a pretty quick fix though. HANNA is of course a reference to Hanna-Barbera, the animation powerhouse behind people such as flintstones, Yogi Bjorn and The Jetsons.
