Legendary gymnast Simone Biles knows a thing or two about winning gold.

The 11-time Olympic medalist, who was born in Columbus, will team up with the rapper and Paris 2024 Olympics NBC Correspondent Snoop Dogg as a playoff advisor during Monday night’s episode of “The Voice.”

Why is Simone Biles on ‘The Voice’?

NBC announced last week that Biles, the most decorated gymnast in historywill appear on the network’s singing competition show for Team Snoop after the legendary rapper reportedly recruited her for the position.

The decision behind Biles, an athlete entering a singing competition, is unclear, but it may have something to do with the Olympics and “The Voice,” both of which air on NBC, and Snoop Dogg’s participation in the network’s Olympics coverage. Biles also has experience performing routines on a bigger stage.

“We were able to riff off each other and give the artists the best insight into the next round,” Biles said in an interview with the AP. “It was pretty easy, simple. We’re both very soft. But if we need to get that energy up, we can. For us it was about building confidence for the next week.”

Considered by many to be the GOAT of her sport, Biles is coming off her third Olympic Games, where she won four medals: three golds and one silver.
