Rockets vs Timberwolves prediction, odds and picks

This Houston team probably shouldn’t lose to a team like Portland like they did in their last game – especially after beating them with ease in the game before. Still, the Rockets have been mostly solid this season with a 12-6 record. It also has terrible shooting. If they can maintain their strong defense while their shooting improves, and it should, there could be a lot more to this team this season.

Minnesota has lost their last 2 games to drop to an 8-8 record. Point guard Mike Conley missed the last game and is day to day right now. The fact that they almost won in Boston without him could mean this team is turning a corner. Rookie guard Rob Dillingham scored 14 points off the bench, giving their second unit a spark. This team just doesn’t have much life on some nights, even with high-flyer Anthony Edwards. Houston is a team the league wants to believe in. So do I, but they’re inconsistent, so while they’ve been solid in underdog roles this season, I’m not sure I’d put my money on them here. Minnesota is far from a sure thing, but it should have no trouble covering this short spread tonight.
