Snowboarder Chloe Kim Says She’s ‘Jealous’ Of Ilona Maher’s ‘DWTS’ ‘Moves’ (Exclusive)

Chloe Kim is ready to cheer on Olympic colleague and friend Ilona Maher in the final in Dancing with the stars.

The two-time gold medallist, 24, says she is “jealous” of the rugby player, 28, and her “moves” on the dance floor. “She’s on fire and she’s got moves and I’m jealous,” Kim tells PEOPLE while discussing her new clothing line with Roxy. “I’m so stiff.”

Although Kim and Maher’s friendship is relatively new, it’s already solid.

“Ilona and I actually went on a hot girl jog recently and then had brunch. So that was the first time I met her,” Kim recalls. “I love her and I love everything she does and I think she’s such an inspiration.”

Maher is not the only Olympian to have achieved that Dancing with the stars final. Gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik competes with his partner Rylee Arnold for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. While Kim will cast her vote for Maher and her partner Alan Bersten, she’s excited to see Nedoroscik, 26, also perform.

“I don’t know Stephen, but I’m sure I would love him as a person,” says the Olympic snowboarder. “He’s an icon.”

Although Kim is thrilled to be a cheerleader for Maher, she admits that the dance floor is not her stage.

“I was invited to continue (Dancing with the stars) a few years ago and I turned it down,” reveals Kim. “Because I can’t dance.”

While dancing may not be her forte, singing certainly is. Instead of Dancing with the starsKim joined in Masked singer in 2020 and made it all the way to the semi-finals.

“It was so much fun,” the gold medalist tells PEOPLE of her time on the show. “I would one hundred percent do it again.”

Although Kim passed on the chance to dance further, Maher has piqued her interest in the experience.

“I think I’ll see her soon, so I’ll pick her brain about it and see,” says the 24-year-old. “But from everything she’s told me, it sounds like she’s had the most incredible experience, and that’s why she’s selling me. I’m all for it.”
