‘VPR’ scraps the entire cast for season 12 in a bomb move after the ‘Scandoval’ drama

Raise your glasses high for the end of an era.

Bravo announced Tuesday that “Vanderpump Rules” will return for Season 12 — but with an all-new cast.

The new show will be included Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of “tight SUR verses as intricately entangled with each other as their iconic predecessors.”

Season 12 will begin production next year, but a premiere date and cast have yet to be announced.

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” executive producer Alex Baskin said in a statement. “With great appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for audiences to watch a dynamic new group of colleagues and friends make their way through life together.”

Lala Kent reacted to the news on social media in a heartfelt post.

“Where to begin,” Kent, 34, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “I was a young girl from Salt Lake City who came to LA and I wanted to introduce myself as Lauren, but because my childhood best friend referred to me as Lala, my nickname quickly stuck.”

Reflecting on joining the show for Season 4 in 2015, Kent said, “Sur was a place that became home.”

“I found myself not only sipping vodka sodas there, but behind a hostess stand… it’s still to this day the scariest job I’ve ever had. A short time later, the opportunity to join a show called Vanderpump Rules right now. It’s no secret that I don’t like change. I want to say thank you for rocking with us for so many years.”

The reality star added, “This show changed my whole life. I’m incredibly grateful for every moment. I’m incredibly grateful to Bravo, to NBCU, to our crew, the entire cast and most importantly all of you. We rocked this bitch until the wheels fell off of.”

Katie Maloney posted a photo of herself from the early days of the show and wrote: “It’s a mixed bag. But I wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for the memories and love the last 11 years.”

Vanderpump, 64, confirmed the news in her own statement.

“The last 12 years of filming has been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” the restaurant owner said Tuesday. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of ‘Vanderpump Rules.'”

The news comes a day after Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz announced their second restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy’s closes its doors at the end of December after two years.

“Water pump Rules” first debuted in 2013 and started as a spinoff of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

The show originally followed Vanderpump and her then-staff at her restaurant SUR, which included Scheana Shay, Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder, as they navigated professional and personal drama.

After a decade in the air, the shocking news hit in March 2023 that Sandoval, 42, and Ariana Madix, 39, had split after 10 years together over his affair with James Kennedy’s ex-fiancee, Rachel Leviss.

Dubbed Scandoval, the affair led to a cast rift, with Madix refusing to film with Sandoval and other cast members upset by it.

Bravo then decided that “Vanderpump Rules” will take an extended hiatus before filming Season 12.
