Temperature roller coaster ride ahead

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Hold on tight, because we have a wild temperature roller coaster ride ahead of ArkLaTex!

Because tonight, gusts from the northwest will herald colder air behind a front. With clear skies, overnight temperatures will drop near freezing north of the I-30 corridor with low to mid 40s elsewhere.

Tuesday will be a sunny but much cooler day with highs in the mid-60s, and heading into Wednesday we’ll see another big jump in temperatures as a warm front moves quickly into the region. Highs could approach 80 again!

Thanksgiving Day will be much cooler again as another cold front moves in from the northwest. Highs will only reach the upper 50s and low 60s, and it will be breezy, making it feel even cooler. Even when this front comes through, little rain is expected.

Starting Friday and then lasting through the weekend, very cool air will settle into ArkLaTex with highs each day only in the 50s and overnight in the 30s. Early next week, a widespread frost looks likely, with overnight temperatures plunging into the 20s and low 30s!

Have a nice evening!
