MrBeast reveals premiere date, trailer for controversial ‘Beast Games’

MrBeast’s Controversial, Litigious Beast game premieres next month. On Monday, the YouTuber shared the trailer for the reality competition show and announced that it will air on Prime Video on December 19.

“I spent over a year creating this 10-episode competition series, breaking 40 world records, building the craziest sets in entertainment history, with 1,000 players and a $5,000,000 grand prize!” MrBeast wrote. “This show will blow your mind.”

“Start the timer!” MrBeast declares into a microphone before the teaser trailer flashes clips of one Squid game-like competition show with thousands of contestants trying to win the cash prize. “Witness a competition show like no other.”

The teaser reveal comes about two months after five previous contestants Beast game filed a class action lawsuit against the show’s production company.

The lawsuit arrived the same day Rolling Stone published a study in which former participants described unsafe working conditions and chaos. The complaint accused MrB2024 of “shamelessly exploiting the labor” of the hundreds of contestants and mischaracterizing their participation in the show in order to avoid employment obligations – including fair wages and mandatory meal and rest breaks – under California law.

It claimed that participants suffered “unreasonable, unsafe and illegal” working conditions, including being “fed sporadically and sparingly”, and that women were subjected to sexual harassment.

Another claim in the suit said the “inadequate calorie intake” provided “threatened the health” of participants. (A participant who spoke with Rolling Stone said they received a single “scoop of rice” on their 15-minute break over a 16-hour shift. Another PA claimed that “catering ran out of food a lot of times.”)
