Pistons injury report vs Raptors

game

Is Cade Cunningham playing today?

That’s the biggest question surrounding the Detroit Pistons as they play Toronto Raptors for the second time in 10 days. The Pistons won that game, 99–95, in Toronto in an NBA Cup game.

Cunningham has a lower back injury and sat out his first game of the season in Saturday’s 111-100 loss at Orlando. He has been downgraded from questionable to out, per NBA injury reportmeaning he misses another game. The Pistons play next Wednesday in Memphis.

The Pistons could also see the season debut of Ausar Thompson, who was available to play Saturday for the first time since March because of blood clots. But he did not enter the game. Thompson has missed more than eight months and 37 straight games.

The Raptors are among the NBA’s worst teams and at the bottom of the Eastern Conference position. But forward Scottie Barnes, their best player, returned to the lineup last week after missing part of the early season with injury. They played in Cleveland on Sunday night, giving the Pistons the rest advantage.
