Loop 202 Santan closed in both directions at Gilbert Rd. because of the police situation

CHANDLER, AZ — Loop 202 Santan is closed in both directions at Gilbert Road due to a police situation, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Chandler Police say they are assisting a person with a welfare check in the area. Further details are unknown at this time.

UPDATE: Eastbound Loop 202 Satan is now closed at Cooper Rd; westbound remains closed at Gilbert Rd.

Expect delays and seek an alternative route. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
