Snow showers will continue in northeastern Minnesota for most of Monday. Temperatures will drop during Monday as cold air blows in, making for a chilly week.

It looks like winter in Northeast Minnesota with a fresh coating of snow. Up to 3 inches of snow has fallen so far in several places on the Iron Range and North Shore.

Sprinkles and showers continue to track east into eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with snow continuing in northeastern Minnesota, where a winter weather advisory remains through the early afternoon for parts of northeastern Minnesota into northwestern Wisconsin.

Temperatures will drop throughout the day Monday, from the 30s in southeastern Minnesota this morning to the 20s in the evening with tweens to the west. Northwest winds will blow at 15-30 mph, heralding the colder air. Wind chills will be in the teens in eastern Minnesota and single digits in western Minnesota. The cold, dry air will allow the sun to emerge Monday afternoon for the southern half of the state.

Wind chills early Tuesday morning will be in the teens and single digits with temperatures below zero in northwest Minnesota. Tuesday will be below freezing across the country, but winds will lighten somewhat from the northwest at 5-15 mph. We also get a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Thanksgiving itself will be cool with highs mostly in the 20s and teens. We will get partial sun with a few rain showers as well. As far as travel is concerned, no major storms are expected this week in the region, just occasional showers/light snow showers.
