His credits include Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Annie Get Your Gun and How to succeed in business without really trying. He is set to return to the Great White Way in the upcoming first-ever Broadway production The last five yearsin the same role Jonathan portrayed in 2016!

Broadway and former Disney star Ryan McCartan revealed that he was one of the many who auditioned for Fiyero!

“Jon (M Chu)you didn’t cast me in the movie even though I worked so hard. It’s fine, no hard feelings,” Ryan said on his podcast. “Confirmed I was auditioning… One of the many, many things I haven’t booked.”

Ryan is no stranger to the role, having actually portrayed Fiyero on Broadway back in 2018 and 2019.

He also starred Frozen the Musical on Broadway, and he’s actually heading back to the Great White Way in another musical in 2025!
