Streets are flooded and roads are closed as Storm Bert hits the Midlands

Herefordshire Council said the floods had caused roads to break up at the U65005 Lockhill, Upper Sapey and Leintwardine High Street.

Meanwhile, Birmingham Airport reported that there were some minor delays due to the weather conditions.

The Environment Agency has issued almost 30 flood warnings and more than 45 flood warnings across the West Midlands, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

With river levels expected to remain high, flood barriers were erected in Bewdley, Worcestershire and around Herefordshire.

A yellow wind warning is in place until the end of Sunday, which could cause disruption.
