America’s “BEST BURGER” is no longer In-N-Out! But that’s ALL of Utah, California & Nevada!

When you think of the best burger in America, your mind probably jumps straight to In-N-Out’s iconic Double-Double, right? West Coasters across Utah, California and Nevada have long hailed In-N-Out as the reigning burger champ. But guess what? According to USA todaythe crown no longer belongs to In-N-Out! Double-Double has been beaten as America’s BEST fast food burger! The new King of Fast Food Burgers belongs to an unlikely chain that we have WHOLE Utah, California and Nevada!

USA TODAY’S TOP 10 BEST FAST FOOD BURGERS IN AMERICA:

#10 – The 1921 Shooter at White Castle

You know, for something so small, White Castle’s shooter packs a punch and it snuck onto the list. Unfortunately, nowhere in Utah, but Nevada has a couple. You can also buy them packaged in the frozen food section at Walmart and they are damn good!

#9 – Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger at Carl’s Jr.

CKE Restaurant Holdings – Carls Jr.

CKE Restaurant Holdings – Carls Jr.

Now, this is where I have some beef (pun intended). This burger is without a doubt my favorite. With the smoky BBQ sauce and crispy onion rings, AND BACON?! how did it land at #9? A parody!

#8 – Burger King Whopper

The Whopper. A classic! A lot of people are hating on Burger King lately and I don’t know why! After all these years, I STILL love BK, the Whopper, but I love Burger King Breakfast the most!

#7 – ButterBurger Double Cheeseburger at Culver’s

Culver Franchising

Culver Franchising

Culver’s is a Midwestern classic, but it’s starting to find some fans out there. Really good burger, and I know we’re talking about meat here, but you can also get curd with the food instead of fries! I’ll take it!

#6 – Double Meat Whataburger at Whataburger

Whataburger fans, don’t @ me. I didn’t make this list, but what I can tell you is that I’ve had Whataburger before, and while it was delicious, it was SO EXPENSIVE! WTF guys?!

#5 – 5 Guys Cheeseburger

I think this one is a little low. I was going to put this at number 3 on the list, but you know what PISSING ME?! Why is Five Guys refusing to put in a drive-through window! I would eat it so much more often if I didn’t have to leave my car and wait inside. I know… I’m lazy!

#4 – Jumbo Jack at Jack in the Box

Jack In The Box

Jack In The Box

I actually love a Jack in the Box burger! This feels like an okay spot on the list. Northern Utah just had their very first Jack in the Box and people lined the streets for BLOCKERS! Is it worth the wait… I’m not sure about it!

#3 – BBQ Rodeo Burger at BurgerFi

Here’s one you probably didn’t see coming. BurgerFi is a bit of a sleeper, but apparently they’ve got this BBQ thing down pat. I’ve never heard of BurgerFi,

#2 – In-N-Out Double Double

Okay, In-N-Out fans, take a deep breath. Double-Double is a national treasure (we know), but it came in second. Cue the collective gasps from Southern California.

#1 – Habit Burger & Grill’s Double Char Burger

Habit Burger Grill

Habit Burger Grill

Habit burgerladies and gentlemen. A chain with above 250 locations in California, 12 in Utahand 12 in Nevadajust took the top spot. The Double Char Burger, with its flame-kissed beef and perfect char, apparently hits harder than anything else on this list. I mean, I knew habit was good, but the best burger in America? According to USA todayyep!

So there you have it, folks. Regardless of whether you are cheering on your local In-N-Outor sudden urge for one Double Char from Habit, one thing is certain: the fast food burger scene is far from settled. Anyone else surprised that McDonalds got the nod here? I think I’ll hit Habit Burger this weekend to see if USA Today knows what they’re talking about!
