Lil Wayne reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical lyric

Lil Wayne may not have called out Kendrick Lamar by name, but one of his latest messages on X could be a direct response to the latter’s lyrics on his GNX trace “Wacced out murals.”

The tweet posted by Weezy almost reads like a warning to Dot as he warns him to “(l)ut this giant to sleep.” He tweeted, “Man wtf am I doing?! I’m just chill and dey still come 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I’m begging you all. No one really wants destruction, not even me, but I will destroy if I am disturbed. Love.”

A series of “exquisite murals” hears Lamar briefly address the issue that arose following his announcement as the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner in New Orleans; some had argued that the credit should have gone to Wayne, who hails from the city. “I used to bump Tha Carter 3, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I guess my hard work failed Lil Wayne … Got the Super Bowl and Nas the one and only congrats me, / All these n** **s excited I’m just glad it’s on their faces,” raps Dot.

The Young Money founder has been vocal about his disappointment at not being chosen to headline the Super Bowl. He previously told the audience at this year’s Lil WeezyAna Fest, “That moment I said to myself, ‘I want to be on stage at the Super Bowl, one day in front of my mom.’ And I struggled to get that damned position and it was ripped away from me.”
