‘From’, ‘Tulsa King’, ‘Moving’, ‘A Good Girls Guide to Murder’

Big news for fans of MGM+’s From ahead of its third season finale: it has been renewed for a fourth season. That means one of the most entertaining and frustrating viewing experiences gets another year to torture us. It also gives Amazon’s MGM what is likely its biggest TV hit to date. But they would do well to announce a final season – perhaps the fifth or sixth – so as not to be able to release us. There’s a decent chance this show won’t stick the landing, and while we’re willing to see one, two, or perhaps three more seasons to find out, anything beyond that could spell trouble From.

Our friend Amber Ruffin – we’ll call her our friend because she retweeted us a few times – and her show with Roy Wood Jr. and Michael Ian Black, Do I have news for youis getting a second season on CNN. Fun side note: a screenshot of this site was featured on the show last weekend (whoever posted it on Facebook, thanks!).

This isn’t a renewal or cancellation, but it’s in the same ballpark: Fox has struck a deal with Hulu to continue carrying its primetime programming. This is probably only of interest to those who still watch Fox’s Sunday night lineup of animated series. To be honest, Bob’s Burgers is the only thing I still watch on Fox. Otherwise it is a wasteland The Masked Singer and Gordon Ramsay show.

I have not been able to see It’s Florida, man— the comedic dramatization of crazy Florida news stories — on Max yet, but Tori has seen it and thinks it’s a blast. The show has been renewed for a second season. If you’re not familiar, that’s basically it Drunk historybut with Florida Man stories.

Tori was also a big fan of Netflix’s animated series Scott Pilgrim takes off and had a huge crush on cartoon Ramona Flowers, but unfortunately that show has been canceled after one season.

I am very excited to see that Netflix has picked up a second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murderas I found the first season highly entertaining (and it inspired my daughters to pick up the books, making them huge mystery fans). The co-production with the BBC also contributes Wednesday‘s Emma Myers and seemed like a no-brainer. There are already a few other Holly Jackson books ready for adaptation.

I didn’t see America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on Netflix, but it was a huge hit (and a click factory for Emma) and is now getting a second season.

I haven’t seen the South Korean sci-fi series Moving on Disney+, but it’s been a huge hit for the streamer — so much so that it’s one of the rare series these days outside of Star Wars or the Marvel universe to get a second season.

Although it hasn’t been officially announced yet, a raise for Sylvester Stallone is paving the way for a third and fourth season of the messy but wildly entertaining King of Tulsa.

Finally, here are a few casting announcements to note: Storm Reid will not be returning for the third season of Euphoria. Meanwhile, in completely unrelated news, Suits star Gabriel Macht will recur as Harvey Specter in the first season of the spin-off Suits: LAwhich premieres in February. And in news that most Jen Maravegias and I care about, Felicity‘s Scott Foley will recur in the upcoming season of Will Trent.
