Legendary Game Show host Chuck Woolery has died at the age of 83

Legendary game host Chuck Woolery has died at the age of 83, according to his Blunt Force Truth co-host Dr. Mark Young.

“It is with a broken heart that I tell you that my dear brother @chuckwoolery has just passed away. Life won’t be the same without him RIP bro,” Young wrote in a post shared on his X account, which was re-shared by Woolery’s account on Saturday (November 23) night.

Ung also told TMZ that he was at Woolery’s Texas home when his co-host said he wasn’t feeling well and went to bed in his room before saying he was having trouble breathing. Woolery was the original host of both the daytime version of Wheel of Fortune (1975-1981) and Love connection (1983-1994), as well Scrabble (1984-1990, 1993), Greed (1999-2000) the FOX and Lingo (2002-2007) on The Game Show Network.

Woolery, a US Navy veteran who served two years aboard the USS Enterprise, initially began his entertainment career in music, which included recording a hit single ‘Naturally Stoned’ as lead singer of the psychedelic pop duo Avant-Garde, as well such as several country music releases and numerous advertising jingles. The legendary game host also appeared in the film Cold feet and television sitcoms 227 and Scrubs.

Woolery, who described himself as a ‘Hollywood conservative’, began hosting what would eventually become Blunt Force Truth along with Young in 2012.
