Christina Aguilera looks unrecognizable on the red carpet amid Ozempic and facelift rumors

Christina Aguilera looked almost unrecognizable as she showed off her svelte figure while attending a hair cutting ceremony for H&M in New York City on Thursday.

The 43-year-old Genie In A Bottle singer – who recently made a surprise appearance on stage with Sabrina Carpenter – attended the event, which was held at H&M’s flagship reopening in Times Square.

The star – who has been involved in Ozempic rumors – flaunted her toned frame wearing a $169 pair of shiny gold micro shorts from the brand.

She also wore a plain black shirt that was tucked in at the waist of the tight-fitting, high-waisted bottoms.

Aguilera layered the ensemble wearing a long, black velvet coat that was left unfastened in the front and slipped into a pair of over-the-knee boots with black heels.

The performer’s platinum blonde locks were parted in the middle and flowed effortlessly past her shoulders in light waves.

Christina opted for minimal accessories to allow the outfit to be the main focal point, adding a pair of sparkling silver earrings.

Her makeup was glammed up and consisted of voluminous lashes and a light shadow around her eyes.

A warm blush was added to better highlight her cheekbones, while a satin nude shade was worn on her lips for the finishing touch.

The beautiful hitmaker flashed a big smile as she stood outside the refurbished shop, holding a pair of large scissors in her hands before cutting the red ribbon.

Inside the store, the singer could be seen walking through to see the collections and new designs.

The flagship store now features immersive fitting rooms for customers – which offer interactive mirrors and floor-to-ceiling LED screens, according to PR Newswire.

Aguilera struck a few poses while standing inside the fitting room during her tour of the spacious Times Square store.

The star was also joined by fiance Matthew Rutler and she was seen helping him try on a cream coat.

While on the red carpet for the flagships official reopening, Christina was spotted crossing paths with Mehmet Arisoy – H&M’s Chief Sales Officer.

Aside from Arisoy, she joined others at the event such as Conrad Northe, Mahnaz Namazi, Claudia Fetta and Carlos Duarte.

In a statement, Aguilera expressed, ‘I’m so excited to be here in H&M’s beautiful new store, in Times Square no less,’ according to PR Newswire.

‘What perfect timing for this place to reopen with their new collection just before the start of the holiday season. We are very excited to bring the joy forward for the season.’

Aguilera’s latest outing in the Big Apple comes months after she first sparked Ozempic rumors back in May of this year when she showed off her 50-pound weight loss.

“So Christina Aguilera found an Ozempic pen and now she just needs to find a pen to give us a classic hit,” another also wrote.

But others came to her defense with one writing: ‘All this talk about Christina Aguilera and her body is really ugly. Christina has always been thin, she was naturally thin as a teenager.’

‘Her body fluctuated over the years, as it does when (you get) older, live and (have) children. Ozempic or not. She looks amazing. Leave her alone, f***.’

Following the speculation, she has since commented on the ‘media obsession’ with her weight over the years during an interview with Glamour in August.

“When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s,” she explained.

‘I started filling out and then it was unacceptable because it was like, “Oh, she’s getting fatter.” Then I had industry people: “They liked your body and how you were like a skinny teenager.”

But as she’s gotten older, Christina revealed she doesn’t let comments about her weight affect her.

‘I have a maturity now where I just don’t care about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on.’

The mother-of-two added: ‘It must be your responsibility to take your place. Other people’s opinions about me are none of my business.’

Cosmetic doctors have also suggested the singer’s new look is likely the result of a ‘miracle’ weight loss, as well as facial surgery.

The London-based esthetician Dr. Jonny Betteridge has previously said he suspects the mother-of-two has undergone a facelift, eyelid surgery and extensive dental work.

“The weight change in such a short time could be attributed to Ozempic use and I also think she would have dissolved all the filler in her face before she then goes through some surgical treatments,” he said.

In a now-viral TikTok video, the former emergency medicine medic doctor commented on the marked difference between Aguilera’s look now, compared to her ‘pillow face’ look seen in 2022.

“A few years ago, she went through a phase where she had too much dermal filler, which gave a pillow-faced appearance,” he said.

‘We could predominantly see this in the midface, cheeks and lips.

‘As time went on, a combination of too much dermal filler and a general change in her weight led to this facial fullness.’

Medicines such as steroids used to reduce inflammatory diseases can also cause a build-up of fluid and can lead to swelling in your arms, hands, ankles, legs, face and other parts of the body.

De Betteridge also added: ‘If we compare her 18-year-old self to now at 43, the main changes I can immediately see is her nose – it’s much sharper and lifted.

‘She has more proportional lips both in relation to the upper and lower lip, so we can attribute this filler and also the dental work with veneers.

“Most notably an upper blepharoplasty to remove excess eyelid skin, and I’m thinking of an endoscopic facelift.”

An upper blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift, is an invasive procedure in which surgeons make an incision along the natural eyelid crease to remove excess skin, giving a tighter, wrinkle-free appearance.
