Lindsay Lohan was quick on her feet when asked about the whereabouts of her “twin” at the premiere of her 1998 film, The parent trap.

“Is it true that a Disney executive asked you at the premiere of that movie if your sister was there?” Andy Cohen asked during the Wednesday, November 20, episode of Watch What Happens live with Andy Cohento which Lohan, 38, replied: “Yes. Michael Eisner.”

“(He said), ‘Where’s your twin?’ I was so young I don’t even know how I was going to say this, but I’ll never forget what I said,” Lohan continued. “I said, ‘Well, you should have paid me double because I don’t have one’.”

After receiving applause from the crowd, Cohen, 56, said, “This is the daughter of Dina Lohan. Very good.”

Lohan played the famous identical twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in the 1961 reboot The parent trap. The film followed the sisters who were separated at birth and later reunited while attending the same summer camp before their 12th birthday.

In the years since the film’s premiere, fans have been hoping for a reboot or reunion — and Lohan revealed Wednesday that she’s not against it. When asked if she would consider playing Annie and Hallie’s mom in a reboot, Lohan replied, “I mean, if Nancy Meyers was part of it, yes. I would never say no to Nancy.”

While the film premiered 26 years ago, Lohan has continued to rave about her time on set. “There (were) such lovely and beautifully written moments, funny but just heartbreaking because it’s like missing that person in your life and then finally having that person,” Lohan shared Katie Couric during a virtual cast reunion in July 2020. “You forget … how much you miss people until you’re actually with them and you haven’t seen them in a while. And I think those scenes really tears me up.”

She continued: “When the long hair was on, it felt very different to me. And I feel – I don’t know if this applies to all actors – but once you put a wig on somebody, you feel different. You step out of your comfort zone and you kind of become the other character. I feel like almost people treated me differently when I was Annie, because Annie was so much prettier and Hallie was kind of like me.”
