Former Nashville high school coach arrested on aggravated rape charges, released on bond

A former Midstate high school coach was arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated statutory rape of a student.

Tyler Forte, 32, is accused of having various sexual experiences with a 17-year-old DCA student four years ago when he was coaching at Donelson Christian Academy, Metro Police report.

Police say there is an 11-year age difference between the DCA student and Forte.

The investigation began in late September when the student, now an adult, told police about the alleged incidents.

Forte surrendered to officers Wednesday night after a warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with aggravated statutory rape.

He was booked into the Downtown Detention Center, where he was released on a $10,000 bond.
