Reddit is down again | TechCrunch

This morning, around 7 a.m. PT, social media platform Reddit experienced another outage after experiencing one yesterday afternoon.

According to his status pageReddit says the platform is still operational. But thousands of users are currently unable to access their website and app. At the time of writing, 51,221 users have reported problems on Downdetector.comup from the 47,000 users who reported problems yesterday.

The interruption this time appears to be due to an HTTP error. Yesterday we noticed the first outage when we tried to visit the website, which showed a black screen with the message: “Upstream connection error or disconnection/reset before headers. Reason for reset: connection error.” On the iOS app, we only saw the dead Snoo head, Reddit’s alien mascot. The problem was resolved four hours later.
