PS5 Black Friday prices apparently confirmed, but Sony deleted the announcement video

Sony recently unveiled a “Games Have No Limits | PS5” ad promoting a special holiday price for PlayStation 5 Slim (Digital) for $379.99. The deal, which was set to run through Black Friday and expire after December 24, served as official confirmation of a significant PS5 Black Friday deal.

However, the original YouTube video has since been removed and replaced with a new one Trailer for “Play Has No Limits”. that leaves out any mention of potential sales details, leaving open questions about the campaign. We managed to take a screenshot of the details before the video was removed, which you can see below.

A deleted PlayStation YouTube video apparently confirms the Black Friday/Holiday deal.

By reducing the price from $449.99 to $379.99 – a $70 discount – this offer offers a significant saving on the console, making it one of the most attractive PlayStation deals currently available. We expect even more Black Friday deals to roll out soon, starting with the 10% off PlayStation gift cards currently available at Amazon.

That’s right, Amazon Prime members can also now take advantage of 10% off gaming gift cards, including those for PlayStation. The campaign contains significant savings, such as $25 off a $250 PlayStation Gift Card$10 off $100, and so on. These discounts are especially valuable for those who plan to purchase digital games, downloadable content or subscriptions during the Christmas sales period.

10% off deals are available on gift cards from $250 to $10.

As for the PS5 Slim Disc Edition, which typically retails for $499.99, there has been no official announcement of a price cut. But given the discount on the Digital Edition, it’s fair to also anticipate potential deals on the Disc Edition during the Black Friday period.

As of this article’s publication, Sony has yet to confirm the original video or holiday pricing for the PS5 Slim. But with Black Friday sales already underway at retailers like Walmart, another official announcement could be on the horizon.

There has been plenty of speculation about what PlayStation fans could expect this Black Friday, including the possibility of a discount or bundle deal for the PS5 Pro. In addition to hardware deals, we’ve also considered which games are likely to see price drops soon.

In other Black Friday news, Nintendo has also recently announced its Black Friday sales plans, with discounts on Tears of the Kingdom, Joy-Con controllers and more confirmed to be on sale in the coming days.

When is Black Friday 2024?

The actual date of Black Friday in 2024 falls on November 29 this year, but the bidding season begins much earlier than that. Before the big event, retailers will start opening offers online. This normally starting in the last week of Octoberright before Halloween. Each week leading up to the event will slowly roll out more deals, eventually leading to massive discounts on Black Friday. Retailers won’t reveal their biggest Black Friday deals until the big day, but most general deals will be available well in advance.
