Surprisingly, Mor, who only started singing a few years ago when he picked up a guitar when he was grounded, revealed that he has only performed in front of friends and family, never a live audience before or in front of a microphone, making his performance more impressive.

After all the coaches’ pitches, Mor chose to join Team Bublé.

For the matches, Michael Mor paired against Kiara Vega in a duet of Goo Goo dolls“Iris.” Michael chose Kiara as the winner of the battle because of her potential, but Mor didn’t go home. Gwen used one of her Steals to get him on her team.

“I just had to steal Mom,” she said. “I just got this feeling, ‘I know what to do with that guy.’ My favorite thing about Mom’s voice is that it has a unique raspy tone. When you hear music out there, his voice feels like what’s happening right now in the world.”

But as previously reported, when it came time for the 3-Way Knockouts, Mom was MIA, having opted to leave The voice.

Despite her passion for music, Mom went to college to get a biology degree. His uncle and grandmother raised him since he was 2 years old when his parents were unable to take care of him. Since his uncle is a Marine Corps veteran, living with him has given Mom structure and discipline, for which he is eternally grateful. His grandmother, uncle and aunt are all incredibly supportive of him whether he wants to pursue a career in music or biology.

In the past few years, Mom started sharing her songs on TikTok and even released a track, “Welcome Sign.” It recently surpassed 125,000 streams across all platforms and more than 80,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Mom balances her path toward a career in medicine and her ultimate dream of pursuing music full-time.

The voice sent on Monday evening at 8:00 PM ET/PT and Tuesday evening at 9 PM ET/PT on NBC, and will stream the next day on Peacock.
